How we're paid
You should know exactly what your adviser earns. Here's ours.
You don't pay us. We're paid in two ways, and both are shown to you in writing before you sign anything.
01
A share of your existing metering charge
Your retailer subcontracts your metering, and retailers generally charge you more for it than it costs them. We arrange your metering directly with a vetted metering company at a better rate, and set your price at exactly what your retailer charges you today. The gap funds your data, your reports and our advice.

02
A capped commission, only if we run your electricity contract
If you take up an electricity contract we've run for you, the retailer pays us a commission capped at 0.3 cents per kWh. For a site using 400,000 kilowatt-hours a year, that is at most $1,200 a year. It is the same rate whichever retailer you choose, and it is shown to you in writing before you commit.
If you'd rather run your own tender, or stay where you are, that's fine. Everything else we do carries on.

What we do about conflicts of interest
Any adviser paid by a supplier has one. We'd rather name ours than pretend otherwise.
- Which retailer you pick makes no difference to us. One capped rate across the panel.
- We recommend what's best for you, even when it pays us less. That is a founding rule of this business, not a slogan.
- If a solar, battery or equipment installer ever pays us anything, we tell you before we recommend them.
- If someone introduced you to us and is paid for it, we tell you that too.
How you pay for metering
Exactly as you do now. Your new metering company invoices your current electricity retailer, and you keep getting one bill from your retailer.
