Questions
Your questions, answered
We set your metering charge at exactly what your retailer charges you today, and arrange your metering with a vetted company at a better rate. The gap funds your data, your reports and our advice — shown to you in writing.
You don't pay us. Your new metering company invoices your current electricity retailer, and you keep getting one bill from your retailer, exactly as before.
Two ways, both disclosed to you in writing. A share of your existing metering charge, paid to us by the metering company. And, only if you take up an electricity contract we've run for you, a commission from the retailer capped at 0.3 cents per kWh. More on how we're paid
Neither. We're your energy team. Your metering agreement is with the metering company, and your electricity contract is with your retailer. We work for you.
We typically recommend five years, and we're happy to discuss shorter or longer terms. The agreement is between you and the metering company. We'll show you the term and any early-exit costs up front, before you sign.
No. Never. We gather data, request quotes, do the analysis and make recommendations. Every contract is put in front of you to review and sign directly with the supplier.
Your existing meter may need to be swapped for the new metering company's meter. For a standard meter swap, there is no upfront cost to you for the new meter, and we'll coordinate the timing with you.
A meter swap usually needs a short planned outage. We agree the time with you in advance, around your operations.
No. Your retailer, your contract and your bill stay as they are. Only the metering company behind the meter changes.
No — most of our customers are. We check your contract for anything that affects a metering change before we propose anything, and the best time to start planning your next contract is well before this one ends.
Send a bill for each. It works the same way site by site, and you get one report that covers all of them.
If your site uses about 100,000 kilowatt-hours a year or more — roughly 8,300 kilowatt-hours a month — yes. The line is a little higher in some states. Send a bill and we'll tell you.
The metering arrangement won't apply, but we may still be able to help with your electricity contract. Ask us.
We use them to check your bills, analyse your usage, and — only when you ask us to — seek quotes on your behalf. We never sell your data and never use it to market to you or anyone else. Privacy policy
You, us, and the metering company that collects it. Retailers see it only when you've given us the go-ahead to seek quotes from them.
One recent electricity bill. If you have it handy, your current electricity contract too. That's it.
Your proposal sets out the length of the agreement and any early-exit costs before you sign, so there are no surprises.
